ශ්‍රී ලංකාව මෙතෙක් පැවති දරුණුතම ආර්ථික අර්බුදයට තල්ලු කළ මූල්‍ය අවුල නිවැරදි කිරීම කෙරෙහි අවධානය යොමු කරන බැවින් තම ධූර කාලයෙහි ඉතිරි වසර දෙක ද අවසන් කරන බවට ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා පවසා තිබේ.
බ්ලූම්බර්ග් ජාත්‍යන්තර පුවත් වෙබ් අඩවිය වෙත අදහස් දක්වමින් ජනාධිපතිවරයා පවසා ඇත්තේ නැවත මැතිවරණයකට ඉදිරිපත් නොවන බව ය.
“මට අසාර්ථක ජනාධිපතිවරයෙක් විදියට යන්න බැහැ.” යනුවෙන් එහිදී අදහස් දක්වා ඇති ජනාධිපතිවරයා “මට අවුරුදු පහකට ජනවරමක් දීලා තියෙනවා. මම නැවත තරග කරන්නේ නැහැ.” යනුවෙන් ද පවසා ඇතැයි එම වෙබ් අඩවිය වාර්තා කළේය.
Dear Sir,
I was so sorry when I heard that you had said that you didn’t want to leave as a failed President. Dear Mr President we understand your feelings and we too feel sorry for what happened. Now it’s too late to repent on what has already happened. Any sensible person in Sri Lanka knows that, as a President you are responsible for the tragedy that has befallen on our lovely, beloved country once known to be a heavenly place on the earth; the ‘Pearl’. Dear Sir, please be humble enough at least now, to accept the reality and gracefully leave. Your departure will certainly help Sri Lanka to recover from the misery you have caused. Please think over our humble request as you have already been labelled as a failed one whether you leave today or tomorrow. You are left with little bit of luck to be respected for leaving today.
